Alerts & Detours
Occasionally, inclement weather and detours may cause service delays. You can get ahead of these delays by tracking your bus in real time. Plan ahead by downloading Transit app (for both Android and Apple) and the myStop app (for Android or Apple).

Peak Period Service
To meet increased demand during the school year, The Rapid offers additional service on select routes. These peak period routes run Monday through Friday, from September to June, when Grand Rapids Public Schools are in session.
All routes are open to the general public.

Holiday Service – 2025
There will be no bus service on the following holidays in 2025. Be sure to mark your calendar and plan your trips accordingly:
- New Year’s Day – Wednesday, January 1
- Memorial Day – Monday, May 26
- Independence Day – Friday, July 4
- Labor Day – Monday, September 1
- Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 27
- Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25
